The Optical Image Stabilizer of the Canon RF 14-35mm F/4L IS USM helps in minimizing camera shake by 5.5 stops which enables shooting low-light images with slower shutter speeds. When used on cameras like EOS R5 and R6, you can take advantage of having up to 7 stops of image stabilization which enables the user to achieve decent handheld low-light shots even with 4 second shutter speed
