    New Sensor and Processing Engine

    The Panasonic S5 II's enhanced full-frame 24.2MP CMOS sensor includes a newly-developed Phase Hybrid AF system for Lumix-series cameras that delivers 779 phase-detection points for noticeably better subject tracking. The image processing engine is been updated with L2 technology. The sensor offers a practical ISO 100-51200 range that can be enlarged to ISO 50-204800 for working in a variety of lighting settings, balancing high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range. The S5 II offers full-resolution shooting at up to 9 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter, making it well-suited for action and quickly moving subjects. Additionally, the Lumix S5 II makes use of sensor-shift stabilization technology and has a High-Resolution mode that allows users to record and combine eight consecutive exposures to produce a single 96MP raw or JPEG file. This mode provides an image with a resolution of 12000 by 8000 pixels, making it ideal for static situations and when using a tripod. It also produces a more highly detailed and color-accurate image than a single shot alone can.

    6K and 4K Video Recording

    In addition to still images, the Lumix S5 II has excellent video recording capabilities. Up to 30 minutes of full-frame 6K30p 4:2:0 10-bit color video can be recorded, while DCI and UHD 4K60p 4:2:2 10-bit video can be recorded for an indefinite amount of time. For videographers who want to produce high-resolution slow-motion videos, the camera enables 120p video capture, and RAW HDMI output is accessible with an extra license upgrade. This camera comes with V-Log pre-installed, which allows for the capture of a flat, neutral gamma curve and an equivalent 14+ stops of dynamic range. This feature allows for accurate management of color data in post-production and fluid editing of material taken with VariCam cameras.

    Pro-Level Video Features

    The S5 IIX boasts enhanced performance and usability, including the ability to output HDMI RAW video data. For videographers looking to streamline data backup and post-processing, recording and playback can be done using an external SSD via USB. Additionally, this camera supports ALL-Intra recording and ProRes recording.

    Phase Hybrid AF System

    The Phase Hybrid AF technology used by the S5 II, the first Lumix mirrorless camera to use it, features 779 phase-detection points for quick and accurate focusing and exceptional AF accuracy. Dependability is key when it comes to autofocus, and Phase Detection AF allows you to track the subject in six different scenarios that, up until now, had proven difficult for traditional systems to record. This means that the S5 II consistently captures the desired subject in challenging circumstances with several people in backlit or low-light settings, whether taking still photos or videos.

    Dual I.S. 2 with Active I.S.

    Panasonic Lumix S5 II features a Dual I.S. that provides complete support for handheld use. 2 image stabilization system, which eliminates up to 6.5 stops of camera shake to produce the sharpest handheld images possible. The camera has a newly created Active I.S. that was built for video applications. image stabilization while the camera is moving and capturing the video system for walking shots.
