High Speed Sync up to 1/8000 Sec

Shoot at shutter speeds up to 1/8000 of a second with High Speed Sync (HSS) Mode at the press of a button. The D2 1000 Air TTL Monolight is capable of producing an extremely fast series of flash pulses – particularly handy to help control and shape lighting when shooting in ambient light or when capturing fast-moving action.

Powerful flash possibilities

The Profoto D2 1000 Air TTL has a powerful range to give you optimum control and precise results. The flash can burst up to 20 times per second and can provide incredibly quick flash durations of up to 1/50000 of a second – it’s so quick, you could capture a water splash mid-air in amazing detail. The D2 also packs enough power to overpower available light in just about any situation, and is adjustable in 1/10 f-stop increments over a 10 f-stop.

Full integration with other AirTLL

The D2 can be fully integrated together with AirTTL flashes like the B1 and B2. Shoot with all flashes in TTL or manual mode or combine them as you wish. For example, set the D2 in manual for the background and use the B1 or B2 in TTL as the main flash. HSS is available in both manual and TTL modes. 

Compact and convenient

Whether you’re shooting high-action freeze shots of food flying through the air in a studio or you’re out capturing fashion in unique settings, the D2 can go anywhere you have an AC power supply. It is compact and convenient to assemble, disassemble and transport.

Compatible with 120+ Profoto tools 

The D2 1000 Air TTL Monolight is compatible with 120+ Light Shaping Tools from Profoto's renowned light shaping system, making it highly flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs. There’s also an optional Quartz flashtube for high volume packshot available.
