The World’s Smallest & Lightest Full Frame Camera*
Meet the Sigma fp digital camera: the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame camera*, and a new breed of the creative tool. With a 24.6MP back-illuminated 35mm Bayer sensor and ISO 100-25600 (ISO 6-102400 expanded) sensitivity, this L-mount mirrorless camera delivers breathtakingly clear and detailed stills and video. 18 fps burst shooting and excellent Face/Eye Detection autofocus let you sharply capture split-second moments with ease, even at shallow depths of the field – perfect for shooting anything from action sports to candid portraits.
*As of July 2019
Outstandingly Compact & Durable
Encased in die-cast aluminium front and back, the Sigma fp camera is outstandingly robust yet lightweight – just 422g including battery. It features dust-and splash-proof seals at 42 points across its body and, when attached to a dust- and splash-proof lens, is capable of shooting in rain or sandstorms. This means the Sigma fp is compact and rugged enough to carry any time, anywhere, letting you immortalise travels or everyday moments with brilliant full-frame quality.
Cinemagraphs & HDR
The Sigma fp goes beyond stills and video. With this camera you can also create ‘Cinemagraphs’ – animated GIFs, or unique still images that are partly in motion. With HDR (High Dynamic Range) shooting you can create photos and footage with stunning colours and tones not otherwise possible. In HDR mode the Sigma fp simultaneously captures multiple frames at different exposures, which you can then merge into a single photo or video with superior detail in shadows, highlights and everything in between.
Superior Creative Control
Experience creative control like never before. Give your photos and videos a high-contrast, Hollywood film-inspired vibrancy with the new Teal and Orange colour grade mode. Brighten shadows in the camera by up to 5.0EV using the Fill Light function, previously available only with Sigma Photo Pro software. You can also manually adjust the tone curve of each image to get highlights, shadows and mid-tones looking exactly how you want them to, directly in the camera.
Full-time Electronic Shutter
Forget about shutter shock, sound or lag. With a full-time electronic shutter, the Sigma fp digital camera minimises any disadvantages of mechanical shutters, thus enabling ultra-precise, quiet and responsive video capture. The absence of a mechanical shutter also simplifies the camera’s structure, thereby increasing its reliability.
Made for Ambitious Filmmaking
The Sigma fp camera is made to realise the most ambitious filmmaker’s vision. It offers an array of functions (e.g. zebra patterning, waveform display) like those in professional cinema cameras, and its broad compatibility lets it slot seamlessly into filmmaking settings. The fp captures stunning footage at up to 4K/24 fps and can record externally in 12-bit CinemaDNG format, giving you outstanding colour depth. There’s also the option of All-I (All-Intra) recording, which allows you to reduce file sizes while preserving high image quality – handy for recording and editing. Movie creators will especially appreciate the director’s viewfinder function, which simulates various angles of view and how an image looks, on compatible cinema cameras (see Pro Tips).
