The Gitzo GS5760D Series 5 Quick Release Adapter Magnesium D Profile is a head accessory enabling an Arca-Swiss style quick release system to be added to a head that doesn’t have a quick release mechanism. The GS5760D features a standard Gitzo Arca-Swiss style plate (GS5370D) and accepts most other Arca-Swiss compatible plates. With the GS5760D installed, the camera/plate can be snapped into the head from above, which is faster and easier than sliding it in from the side.
There is a 3/8” thread on the bottom of the adapter, with a 1/4”-3/8” screw adapter included to convert it to a 1/4” thread. The body is made of strong, lightweight and durable magnesium and the plate is built of durable aluminium. It weighs 0.312 Kg, secures a payload of 12 Kg, and has a built-in bubble-level.
