CameraPro Explorer’s Grant: Apply for $25,000 to tell a story & change the world!

Here at CameraPro, we pride ourselves on providing professional, hands-on info and advice to support our customers on their creative journey. We strive to offer events, competitions and other initiatives to foster engagement with other creators. And we are passionate about social programs that promote the role of creativity as an agent of good for a richer world.
With our Social Impact Program, we’ve been helping out in small ways for some time – by donating to charities like Oxfam and Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, supporting initiatives like the 24 Hour Project and supporting Verge Collective - a recently established all female collective formed by six emerging photo and new media artists currently living and working in Brisbane and surrounds.
Now with the Explorer’s Grant, we are taking steps to make our Social Impact Program even better. And we’re looking to do it in collaboration with you!
What is the Explorer’s Grant?
What?
The Explorer’s Grant is a new initiative by CameraPro developed to support passionate visionaries with a mission to tell a story about a remote community experiencing social, environmental or financial hardship.
Who?
We are looking to team up with problem solvers, creative geniuses and experienced collectors who are ready to make the world, or their community, a little better by telling their story.
Where?
It could be a global project, or it could be in your own backyard, but the community needs to be rural or remote.
How?
We will not only support the cause itself, but also give you the financial backing to document the story and help you share it with the wider Australian community. This grant is about providing both financial support and community exposure to a community looking to help themselves.
What’s on offer?
We’ve set aside $25,000 in total for the 2018 Explorer’s Grant program.
We have $10,000 in total available for travel and production, $10,000 in total to donate to causes and $5000 in total for promotion and production
Applications for funding small and large are welcomed – we want to help you make the world better! We are looking for creativity that has impact and a strong reach.

The Format
A combination of video and photography to document the story, providing context and displaying the impact in the community.
